Advanced Energy United and Institute Announce New CEO

CEO Nat Kreamer transitions to sustainability investing; Advanced Energy United President Heather O’Neill promoted to CEO. 

WASHINGTON, DC, February 15, 2023 – After four and a half years leading the Advanced Energy United organizations to achieve historic political wins and record financial growth, CEO Nat Kreamer is transitioning to a new role as Executive Chairman of AMP Robotics with additional leadership roles in his investments at Fairtide, HDM Renewable Finance, and Highland Electric Fleets. Kreamer will remain a member of the Advanced Energy Institute board. Current President Heather O’Neill will become CEO and President of the organizations with the full support of their boards.

Outpacing overall U.S. job growth, the advanced energy workforce took a strong upturn in 2021, employing 3.4 million workers at the end of 2021 and bouncing back from COVID-19 disruptions.

AEE Applauds Inflation-Fighting Agreement Made By Senate Leaders

WASHINGTON, DC, July 27, 2022 – Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), a national trade association of clean energy buyers and businesses, celebrated the federal budget agreement announced today by Senate leaders Chuck Schumer and Joe Manchin, and released the following statement on behalf of its CEO, Nat Kreamer:

AEE applauds Biden administration actions to pause solar tariffs and grow advanced energy domestic manufacturing

WASHINGTON, June 6, 2022 – Today national business association Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) celebrated the announcement from the Biden Administration that it will expand use of the Defense Production Act to include solar panels and component parts, as well as building insulation, heat pumps, electrolyzers, platinum group metals, fuel cells, and transformers. The White House also announced a pause on solar trade tariffs to allow clean energy projects across the country to be built while the country scales up domestic manufacturing of supply chain components. 

“This is a needed stay in a more than decade-long tariff war that has been a loser for all parties,” said AEE CEO Nat Kreamer. “Tariffs only raise costs for consumers and don’t create domestic demand for clean energy. These announcements today provide much-needed stability to the solar industry and the clean energy transition at large, and send the message to Congress that now is the time to act urgently to build the clean energy domestic manufacturing industry this country needs to protect consumers and become energy independent.
