WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Advanced Energy United congratulated David Rosner, Judy Chang, and Lindsay See for being confirmed by the U.S. Senate to join the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
When the three candidates were first nominated, Caitlin Marquis, Managing Director at Advanced Energy United, issued the following statement about the nominees:
"Ms. Chang’s long and distinguished career in the energy sector, and her demonstrated ability to work in a bipartisan manner, makes her supremely well suited to address the key issues that arise from the energy transition and forge consensus. In a similar vein, Mr. Rosner’s experience across a wide variety of industry matters and in a variety of venues, including at FERC, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Senate, leave him well-equipped to tackle the most complex and important issues in before the energy sector today. Ms. See is an accomplished lawyer, we look forward to learning more about her views on the role of FERC in the energy transition during the nomination process, and to working with her and the other nominees should they be confirmed to the Commission.
Caitlin Marquis also shared the following perspective about the importance of having five commissioners serving on FERC:
"FERC plays an essential role ensuring that the U.S. has an affordable and reliable energy system, which is especially critical as we swiftly transition toward a 100 percent advanced energy economy. FERC is most capable of deliberating on the vital and complex issues before it when it has a full contingent of Commissioners."
