TRENTON, NJ – National business association Advanced Energy United shares its condolences today for the family, friends and colleagues of Joseph Fiordaliso, president of New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities (BPU), a longtime public servant who was a positive force behind the state’s ambitious push towards a clean energy future.
United’s New Jersey state lead Karlito Almeda, who previously worked at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities as a policy aide, shared the following statement:
“I’m saddened to hear of the sudden passing of President Fiordaliso, who was a tenacious advocate for New Jersey and a champion for the transition to clean energy. Under the Murphy Administration, President Fiordaliso was instrumental in implementing a 100% clean energy goal, and just this past July he backed a measure to help the state decarbonize through expanded building electrification. A strong champion for the environment, President Fiordaliso expressed the moral imperative to leave the world in a better place, and worked to set an example of climate leadership in New Jersey.”
