Like Arkansas Governor Beebe did earlier this year, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed Senate Bill 385, the Texas Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) bill, into law. The original bill was authored by State Senator John Carona, Republican from Dallas. Texas is the twenty-seventh state to adopt PACE legislation. The Houston Business Journal reports: 

But those behind SB 385 felt the current law lacked certain language needed to enable the use of municipal funds for energy improvements, thereby preventing municipalities from providing financing to use the PACE program.
