AEE State Coalition Expands to Include Partner Organizations in Pennsylvania and New York

Nearly Half of U.S. States Represented in Efforts to Promote Advanced Energy Legislation and Regulation

 

Washington, DC, June 19, 2014 – Advanced Energy Economy (AEE), a national association of businesses making the global energy system more secure, clean, and affordable, continues to grow its State Coalition with today’s announcement of two new state partners, the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA) in Pennsylvania and Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY). With the addition of KEEA and ACE NY, AEE’s State Coalition now comprises 15 state and regional partner organizations active in 23 states in state legislative and regulatory policy.

“These new partners help extend our reach in promoting the growth of the advanced energy industry across the country,” said Graham Richard, CEO of Advanced Energy Economy. “Now stretching across 23 states, our State Coalition drives state policies to deliver secure, clean, affordable energy, with economic benefits for all.”

The Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(6) corporation dedicated to promoting the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries in Pennsylvania. KEEA advocates on behalf of energy efficiency and renewable energy professionals on the local, state, and federal levels. By representing the interests of the clean energy industry in Pennsylvania, KEEA is growing the market for energy efficiency and helping the Keystone State secure a prosperous, sustainable tomorrow.

 

The Alliance for Clean Energy New York is a broad coalition based in Albany, dedicated to promoting clean energy, energy efficiency, a healthy environment, and a strong economy for the Empire State. ACE NY is New York’s premier advocate for the rapid adoption of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.

These two new partner organizations join the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association, Clean Energy Trust (IL), Clean Energy Project, Inc. (NV), Colorado Cleantech Industry Association, Interwest Energy Alliance (AZ, CO, NM, NV, UT, WY), Maryland Clean Energy Center, Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council, New England Clean Energy Council (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT), New Mexico Green Chamber of Commerce, North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association, Ohio Advanced Energy Economy, Renewable Energy Alaska Project, and the South Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance in the AEE State Coalition.
