The third phase of a national campaign will educate constituents in Arizona, California, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia about the positive impact of advanced energy tax credits.
WASHINGTON, DC — As Congress rounds the final corner of negotiations on a major tax reform package, Advanced Energy United is launching an ad blitz across six districts to defend remaining energy tax policies, which – under current law – were projected to generate $3 trillion in economic benefits, $846 billion in household savings, and 13.7 million American jobs over the next decade.
The ads are the third-phase push from Advanced Energy United’s campaign, Unlocking Advanced Energy, which aims to educate the constituents of key House members about the value of these tax credits.
“We have already seen the House and Senate make deep and painful cuts to a range of advanced energy tax policies. Nonetheless, there are tens of thousands of jobs, billions in investments, and projects in communities across the country whose fate still hangs in the balance,” said Harry Godfrey, Managing Director at Advanced Energy United, who leads the org’s federal affairs team. “These lawmakers have been working to defend those projects, and the credits critical to them. We’re asking them to keep up the fight and defend against further backsliding.”
The ads will run in targeted House districts, which are seeing transformative benefits from these tax credits across their states:
- Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06): $75 billion in new private sector investments and $29.7 billion in new manufacturing investments.
- Rep. Young Kim (CA-40): $246 billion in new private sector investments and $95 billion in new manufacturing investments.
- Rep. Gabe Evans (CO-08): $48 billion in new private sector investments and $14.7 billion in new manufacturing investments.
- Rep. Andrew Garbarino (NY-02): $99 billion in new private sector investments and $51.2 billion in new manufacturing investments.
- Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-02): $119 billion in new private sector investments and $28.3 billion in new manufacturing investments.
- Rep. Jen Kiggans (VA-02): $75 billion in new private sector investments and $12.9 billion in new manufacturing investments.
The campaign will run until a final reconciliation bill is passed.
