Leaders at SunPower, Pattern Energy, and Microsoft Join AEE Board of Directors

AEE welcomed three advanced energy industry leaders to its Board of Directors this month, representing longtime Leader-level member companies: Sarah Webster of Pattern Energy, Suzanne Leta of SunPower Corp., and Brianne Miller of Microsoft.

“AEE is thrilled to bring onto the board three leaders with extensive expertise and great enthusiasm to transform policy and expand advanced energy markets,” said AEE CEO Nat Kreamer. “Sarah Webster, Suzanne Leta, and Brianne Miller have each demonstrated a dedication to growing the industry with their business and political acumen, and I look forward to working with them on the AEE Board of Directors as we pursue a 100% clean energy future.”

Sarah Webster is Senior Vice President of External Affairs & Market Development for Pattern Energy, overseeing Pattern’s Government Relations, Corporate Communications, Stakeholder Management and Sustainability efforts. Pattern Energy Group constructs transmission lines and develops, owns, and operates utility-scale wind and solar power facilities in North America and Japan. Sarah has worked in the energy sector for over 20 years and has been with Pattern Energy since 2013, serving as the “diplomatic core” for the company. 

Suzanne Leta is Senior Director and Head of Policy and Strategy at SunPower.  She leads a national team that focuses on market and policy dynamics and its impact on SunPower’s customers and business. Her team’s responsibilities include government relations, public affairs and strategic initiatives. With more than 19 years of experience in renewable energy, Suzanne Leta is known for her policy thought leadership and board expertise. Suzanne serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the Leadership Council for Advanced Energy Economy, and the Advisory Council for Clean Energy for America.  

Brianne Miller serves as Energy and Sustainability Policy Director for Microsoft U.S. Government Affairs. Brianne joined Microsoft in 2022 after serving as Director of Federal Relations for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Idaho National Laboratory (INL), the nation’s laboratory for nuclear energy research and development, where she focused on policy issues related to clean energy, national security, science, and the environment. Prior to joining INL, she served on Capitol Hill for 16 years, most recently as Deputy Staff Director for Energy on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee for then-Chairman Lisa Murkowski.
