The report emphasizes the critical importance of economic planning, long-term perspectives, and proactive approaches to ensuring a reliable, sustainable, and economically viable electricity infrastructure for Texas.

According to the analysis model, speeding transmission upgrades in the state could result in over $1.1 billion per year in production cost savings averaged over 15 years, while costing about $9.4 billion to build: a net savings of $7 billion. 

Outlining substantial benefits to consumers and the grid, the report serves as a call to action for legislators, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the ERCOT community to come together in building a cleaner, more resilient energy future for Texas.
