Across the nation, fossil fuels are failing to keep the power on during extreme weather events, showing time and again that they are unreliable when we need power the most.

What’s more, power utilities are often times pushing the cost of damages from extreme weather events onto customers, who already pay premiums for highly volatile fossil fuel power. These issues are poised to worsen if fossil fuel-caused problems aren't met with clean energy solutions.

These fact sheets, prepared by Advanced Energy United, address grid reliability on a national scale, as well as within California, Texas, New England, and the Western Region, and aim to highlight the importance of building clean energy projects and electric grid infrastructure to lower costs, maintain job growth, and keep the lights on.
