Jeff Bishop, CEO and Co-founder of Key Capture Energy, has been named to the Board of Directors of AEE. Based in Albany, NY, Key Capture Energy is one of America’s largest owner-operators of standalone battery storage projects. The first corporate leader from the fast-growing energy storage sector of the advanced energy industry, Bishop was voted onto the Board at its meeting last week.

“AEE is thrilled to welcome Jeff Bishop to our board,” said AEE CEO Nat Kreamer. “Key Capture Energy is a new company to join AEE at the Leader level, representing an energy storage market that is burgeoning in this country, and Jeff is a chief executive with broad experience across the advanced energy industry. We look forward to the leadership he can provide as AEE continues to grow.”

“Energy storage and advanced software are part of the tool kit to creating a more resilient advanced energy economy,” said Bishop. “AEE is an important vehicle for growing the market for energy storage, in concert with other advanced energy technologies, with smart state and federal policies. I am looking forward to being part of making that happen.”

Prior to founding Key Capture Energy, Bishop held senior positions at Brookfield Renewable and EDP Renewables. He got his start in renewable energy working for a wind energy developer in Morocco in 2002. Bishop holds an MBA from Chicago Booth and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University.
