Continued investment in domestic manufacturing of advanced energy will create economic opportunity, while sustained deployment will help lower household energy costs
WASHINGTON, DC – National business association Advanced Energy United congratulates President-Elect Trump on his electoral victory and urges an energy agenda that leverages domestic production of advanced energy solutions to meet America’s growing energy challenges and lower energy costs.
Heather O’Neill, President and CEO Advanced Energy United, released the following statement:
“Advanced Energy United congratulates President Trump on his electoral victory and we’re committed to working with the Trump-Vance Administration to meeting America’s energy challenges with advanced energy solutions.
The advanced energy industry is an immense economic force in America, powering a manufacturing renaissance in towns of all sizes and political preference, and creating financial opportunity in every state in the country. The industry is producing American jobs at twice the rate as the rest of the economy. At the same time, advanced energy is helping Americans lower electric bills, power our economy, and combat inflation.
America has only just started to tap into the incredible economic potential of advanced energy. With both parties in agreement that energy costs in America are too high and our energy infrastructure in need of rebuilding, advanced energy technologies are the solution to both, right now and in the years ahead. We look forward to working with new leadership in the White House and on Capitol Hill to find common ground on ways to provide the business certainty needed to help our industry continue this momentum in communities everywhere and preserve American energy dominance.”
The advanced energy industry employs over 4 million Americans across all 50 states working to lower consumer costs while providing the full range of clean, efficient, and reliable energy and transportation solutions. From 2022 to 2023, advanced energy employment nationwide increased by 4%, more than double the growth rate of the U.S. labor market overall.
“In addition to working with new leadership in the White House, Advanced Energy United looks forward to continuing our bipartisan work with state leadership across the country,” added O’Neill. “State leaders understand that advanced energy is a dynamo, creating jobs and lowering bills for millions of Americans. Continued investment in advanced energy technologies – everything from large-scale wind and solar and storage, to electric transportation, to distributed and grid-edge solutions – will be great for our economy, for meeting rising energy needs, and for lowering household energy costs.”
