Ivanpah continues to make headlines

The world’s largest solar plant, the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System has opened in the Mojave Desert on the California-Nevada border. The plant can produce 392 megawatts, enough to power 140,000 homes.

"The Ivanpah project is a shining example of how America is becoming a world leader in solar energy," U.S. Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz said. "This project shows that building a clean-energy economy creates jobs, curbs greenhouse gas emissions and fosters American innovation,” he added. Read more here.
