[Washington, D.C. – February 10, 2016] – Late yesterday, Advanced Energy Economy released the following statement in response to the stay of EPA’s Clean Power Plan by the U.S. Supreme Court:
“We are deeply disappointed by the Supreme Court’s decision to stay the Clean Power Plan while the litigation proceeds through the courts,” said Malcolm Woolf, Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs for Advanced Energy Economy, a national business association. “The stay is potentially disruptive and chilling to much-needed investment in the electricity system of this country. That said, we are witnessing the inevitable rise of better technology designed to meet the energy needs of the 21st century, and we feel confident that, upon full review, the rule will be upheld on the merits.”
