Podcast: Behavioral Reporting for Energy Efficiency

The ability to take aggregated energy data and draw conclusions around individual energy use has led to a whole new industry of energy reporting and behavioral change.  In this week's episode, Tom Plant and Jeff Lyng (pictured) discuss legislation to require comparative energy reporting to utility consumers. 

Oregon Representative and Energy Committee Chair Jules Bailey, sponsor of HB 2329 sums up the reasons for introducing legislation this way: "Comparative energy use information is good for consumers.  It's cost effective, helps them save money and reduces the need for expensive new energy sources.  These programs work, and it's time to expand them."
