Comments to FERC on Technology-Neutral Competition in Transmission Development

On May 31, 2016, AEE submitted comments to FERC suggesting that increased, technology-neutral competition would lower the cost of transmission.

In order to better facilitate this competition, FERC's upcoming Competitive Transmission Development Rates Technical Conference should include a discussion of how advanced transmission technologies and non-transmission alternatives are considered, proposed, and implemented in the transmission development process.
